988. Skip a rock across water

The world is filled with ordinary things just waiting for someone to make them extraordinary, and this is a perfect example of that. You must pass by hundreds of rocks every single day, not thinking anything of them. They’re just rocks after all.

You probably pass by a body of water or two as well. A lake on the way to school, or a pond on the way to work. Maybe you even live close to a river or (if you’re lucky) a beach. Again, though, you probably don’t think much of them after having seen them every day.

But take one of those rocks and twirl it just right across the surface of a lake and suddenly you’re a buoyancy-defying magician! Try to beat your record number of skips, or compete with friends to see who can skip their rock farther.
